A new place to find me.....

I have combined my art and knit blog.

New is good, so here I am.  It's new this week so there will be some teething troubles.

Sadly in the world of technology that we have become you can not just sit.(yes I said that!)  Ive sat for a while.......

New and updated is a good thing, convincing my self here.

I do not like change, but felt it was time to embrace a new chapter.

So I really hope you like it.;-)

Operation catch up?

 Operation catch up...........

Sounding like a bad Bond?

It seems that Ive been to busy to blog ?? so here's a condensed version, instead of a blog each project this is an accumulative Birthday blog.

Splitting my activity's between, knitting for art exhib and knits and pearls;-)

 SAAB

A fathers day gift for my other half, he loves SAAB this belonged to one we once owned, and there's plenty of fathers day tack out there to buy, but I bet you can't pick up Saab Grill Art any where in a hurry........

A one off?

My plan to attach it to a plaque, like you would a dears head!
(only I'm a veggie so that's never going to happen)

Link below for "another planet janet people", just incase your unaware of SAAB.

Project Blade Runner................

 Rutgur Hauer
AKA ,The dying replicant Roy Batty.

"All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain"
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tears_in_rain_soliloquy

Quote from wiki
Tears In Rain is the final monologue of the Replicant Roy Batty in the movie Blade Runner. It is much quoted and has been described as "perhaps the most moving death soliloquy in cinematic history".The final form of the speech was
improvised by Rutger Hauer, the actor who delivers it.

I'm defiantly turning into a text bitch, I can not get enough of quotes, sayings , words.  It's slightly becoming obsessive.

Revampeing a 14 yr old pine unit.

Polaroid
 4 mins later

My 1st and not so good, Polaroid.   I have to admit I'm not a natural.  A birthday gift from Rich, we had the camera for a while ,but no one stocked the film........

Until now and project Impossible.

My mistake simply using it like my digital?

I'm at one with my lumix.  We've spent years together, Polaroid a whole new culture that I can see myself totally embracing.

above 40 minutes later.

The Butterfly that I made with the splosh and fold aka butterfly effect printing.

This I cut out and added to that magazine collage ,attaching it to the front of the old photo storage box.

Splash and repeat part two
 The butterfly effect

My second attempt at the fold and splash......repeat print.

Not as natural the second time I tried to use different media to make it more interesting but I felt that attempt one the mounted butterfly above had much better results.
 Rabbit?
 Map
 Splash
I added stitches, this one I liked.   So I added the cotton stich, a little stitched up.   A natural collage, seeing as the bit I stitched was actully newspaper from the art table that had attached to the paper.  Random

I see art everywhere....

From my butterfly random printing.......

 New look carrier bags.

To a print mistake at work on the carrier bag.   This reminded me of my Jackson P splash.   This is something that I do a lot in my art.......

I was not sure whether to frame it or give it away (shop brought clothes) the print mistake is a perfect splash, natural art and just my kind of thing.

 Black and white

It's a big influence in fashion at the moment, many a t shirt and dress printed this way.  So I decided to give it ago again taking me back to my Early school days.

 Knitted Graffiti
The city of Quebec public house

Not far from Selfridges in Oxford street, a wine stop and wasabee pees, time for a little knit graffiti.
London and the pub table leg.
My shopping loot below,  a good day had by all thanks to Kerry.;-)

Butterfly printing on recycled paper .

I have used all types of back ground and just the three colours, probably my artist favourites red, black and white.

I'm still playing with this project I just thought that id share this butterfly.

You would think this arty pic of a butterfly was purposely made, not just folded piece of  paper and three splashes of paint.

 Me
 Me in black and white

The funny little story here is that when I arrived to help out a little, the display was so breathe taking that i took photos of my duck and tea cosies and then sat down and looked at my photos.

Just to check id captured everything ok and on doing this realised that these where in fact my crochet of the deep hung in a way I never would have thought of.   And if I say so my self they looked pretty amazing.
 Keep Calm and Carry On
In its earley stages this is for the Heritage Reading project, again working with Jelly. Im one lucky lady.

Fire-Crochet-Art.....Burning rubber

 Crochet Rubber Bands

 Burning rubber

Art-Crochet-Fire

Whats needed.

-An Old rubber crochet sample.
-Random concreate slab.
-Matches.
-Mud optional.
-Good camera.

Project Burn
I seemed to be just a little to comfortable burning rubber,
Caturing the crocheted rubber band sample going up in flames.

Amazed at just how quickly the fire spread and engulfed the sample,
melting in the flames.

Even adding the mud on top, safety 1st. Putting out the flaming infurno was just good fun.

Look close and see a little puff of distingusted flame.

Earley Train Station and a little yarn bomb.

The twisty and the power station, soft verses harsh.

Earley Train Station and a little yarn bombing incident.

Because I can........
Because I want to..........
Because I could.......

Juxtapose the pink and the plastic against the harsh KEEP OUT railings.
