The Fourth.....

VAGUE
The fourth piece to my dark collection.  it's been a while in the making as this time I hand stitched the crochet made letters to the canvas.
(tricky work let me tell you)

These pictures are in no particular order, they just show my progress and I still need to add the  final that completes this collection.  Because once I had stitched on all the letters I added my (fondly known) Jackson Pollack splash.

Canvas , acrylic paint, spray, crochet, hand stitching and even a button.

The letters looked as if I superimposed them on the canvas? so the splash was required to blend them to the canvas.  For this I used white acrylic.

Exhibition, Slough

"Whatever floats your Boat"

My two favourite pieces, a trip to slough (been a while) a hunt for the museum which I have to say I would have walked straight past if my friend hadn't pointed it out, appearance of a charity shop!

Not a lot of funding I guess or simply not a lot of beautiful buildings  in slough to choose from?
(Reading is a lovely museum building)  We can't all be as lucky.  Any how that aside, the exhibition is small but very worth while.

Art Play with crochet and an eye cord.

A Mini Show Case

Trial Art

Crochet Knit and layering, teamed with odds and ends that I found about my art space freedom to create as you go is such an inspiring way to work, no thought process just paint the canvas and go.

Using mirrors
Why I like to, its about Reflection.Your reflection, as what are you really looking at?

The art or your self ?

When standing in a gallery with your self smiling back at you?

What actually do you see?
 Square mirrors and fabric.

A little bit more local CROCHET graffiti.

A little bit more local CROCHET graffiti.

Recycled from my recent library project.

Plus a new source of Ducklings.
http://www.tigerstores.co.uk/
On a recent shopping trip I discovered these affordable little ducklings that are perfect for my project, slightly bigger and squishier than my original Swedish ducks.  The original hard ducks I have not been able to source since moving to the UK.

Meet my newest members to the team, Army Camo duck.

Below welcome Paper Clip Duckling.

To then create more ART.

But this ball alone on a white table for the canvas made for some intresting photography on its own.
