Blue and green should not be seen?

A random post......My Art and a peacock (well actaully a few peacocks)
A truly beautiful bird.
In fact one day I have decided that I will devote/decorate an entire room to peacock-ness. watch this space.

Blue and green should not be seen?

Except when it comes in the shape of a peacock!
I never really got this term as its a colour combination
that I have always used.

So I googled its meaning, as you do......

Myth
Meaning, even my son had doubted his green top went with his
blue jacket? He's not usually a botherer, but could it have been
that old urban myth......"Blue and green should not be seen!" its not one I use but still?

All I found was a forum, with these quotes below.

Blue and Green
Should never be seen
Unless they're together
In the washing machine.

or

Blue and green should never be seen, unless there is something in-between.

A peacocks bottom! just in case you where wondering, I really did mean random.  And i was pleased at the fact that there tail feathers are a little dull as really its a bird that couldn't be any more decadent if it tried.

And a nice blog, so ill promote her;-)

Nice art....
There was a lot of reference to the Irish? if any one knows, please let me know:-) this blue and green things got me fathomed.

  1. Peacocks curtsey of Warwick castle
  2. Great day out
  3. Warwick is a beautiful Tudor town.

Experiamnetal paint and stitching,a bit of a Jutopostion.   I just decided it looked nice together.

I'm still re-doing so much from my huge art collection from Stockholm, I was so productive as I had sooooo much time to be.
I feel I went from one thing to the next without really spending
the full potential of time on any one certain project.

And it's seems that I just can not get enough of my sowing machine, the
stitch is now not only the knitted/crocheted but rapidly becoming the hand
sown/machine stiched.

My sowing machine really has paid for its self.
