- Woodley Library as promised
Coils coils and coils, theses worked so well they are sparkly, they spin and I think that they make for a great crochet flower, the weeping willlow type.....
But pink obvoiusely.;-)
The ducks where a sure hit with the children, whilst I was installing the internal part of the exhibition (blog to follow) I could here the mummies and kiddies, chattering about them.
A funny installation I felt like an animal in a Zoo as its a central garden with glass on four sides, so I was being watched with curiosity by librarians and visitors alike.
The Picture below was taken on installation day so as you can see the water is still frozen but I have visited since and they are happily floating.
The thistle was perfect,(top bird table) I was pretty impressed as all the art had been made by eye no measuring involved and I had been hard at work since the snow and and on the day I went to visit the court yard it was pouring with rain.
So all in all, pretty pleased with my work........
Just the pond decoration (third time lucky) to complete the garden.
Blouders every where and I think I covered five these took a lot of crochet, they are made from all the little ends from all the random projects I do so nothing is wasted.
Garden Art
I have posted a step buy step on how to make one of these, before but ill do a quick run though for a 1st time reader. I have a few in my own garden and I think that it is such and easy and pretty wonderful thing to do.
Beginner knitter or crocheter, all those practice squares, shapes you simply join them and then you can use an old canvas frame
(good if you have and artist Friend)
but if you don't they are so affordable a few £'s then using a staple gun.
mine I purchased from a £1 shop years ago but at a DIY they cant be very expensive and once you have one,(its for life) I use mine a lot;-).
You simply staple the knit to the frame (instantaneous ART)and place somewhere in the garden, dramatic and mine has now been out for 6 months and it still looks good so its not a short term project.
