Avante-Garde Crochet Duck Trials in Miniture.

Miniture floating duck trial.

Introducing Avant-garde duck.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avant-garde

She dared to be different, not only is she half the size of phase one. My reasoning for a smaller size is to fit easiest into a suitcase or envelope for cheaper postage.:-)

Destination..........

Kungsträdgården

And that's Stockholm's city centre , drop off point at the Swan water fountain.

AKA Molins Fountain.

About the park

Avant
didn't have the regular little duck jacket she had three flowers hence the Avant garde:-)

It all started well, until the flowers got wet through and she tipped daring to be different in the occasion was defiantly not for the better.......

Rip little duckling.

Hopefully rescued by a small child that will keep her on the ground as she was not meant for the water.

Is it a case of the little ugly duckling.

A little side ways short video just like Avante adventure.

The Royal Wedding Type, unforgivably I missed it!, as a trip to Prague was on my cards.

Crochet Duck release (Prague)

But Back to Love This is the the before ,after to follow.

All about the Royal Events (They have been and gone) But I thought that this type of country involvement was a really cool idea. Everyone loves a little romance and real love.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Victoria,_Crown_Princess_of_Sweden

Below is NK (Harrod's to Brits)
They had a royal wedding window theme, depicting the big events. The Photo of the handsome couple is i guess there official engagement photo.

Inspiration Lilac with added knitting, ART

Part two of Inspiration Lilac.

Quick Sketch, I must really work on long sketch its just I get board and if I spend to long doodling I kind or ruin what I started.

This was my trail canvas I covered the base in tissue paper the dark green.

Layering lilac

Actually on to the canvas and spraying paint over the top.

To get the imprint of the flower and leaves.

The Knitted Part

Below

Then I took the main canvas after adding the knitted print/paint and used a similar method.

Flower taken from my garden and used freshly that day.

Oop's I forgot the part where I glued some of the leaf rubbing that I created whilst making this study to the canvas.

A kind of home made collage.

So far so good.

I think that it looks really moody in feeling.

But that at the same time it's pretty, summer this was what my aim was to achieve a kind of knitted/crotched garden scene.

And of cousre very abstract! It's me;-)

Up close the leaf imprint, you can see what it is just but maybe that's because I have told you I like when you look at art and you see the thing like this that from afar you may not have noticed. A captured moment.

More to follow as I'm not finished but I like where I'm going.

Inspiration Lilac, I just need to add the knitting.

Inspiration lilac

I love the colours.

I adore the smell.

And the delicate little flowers.

Is it a bush or a tree? I shall ask Jeeves.......

Answer a Bush;-)

Full summer is in swing and Sweden's second most common planted naturally in it's plenty. Second to the sliver birch seems to be the lilac tree's.

Its blossoming everywhere, such a pretty sight. it's hard not to inspired by the pretty little flowers.

Sketch and rubbing's using coloured pencils and graphite.

Lilac aka Syringa vulgaris

I seem to be noticing a huge amount of different variety's other than the
lilac, white purple.

The three colours I thought it only ever came in!

Feeling like a bit of on
Alan Titchmarsh as I stop to look closely at the newer colours that I have seen since studying the plant a little closer.

I have seen pink.

Pink and white.

White and pink.
(photo's to follow)

Nurd!

The lilac that I call lilac is actually factually known as Wedgewood blue!
(new fact, for my collection)

Ask Jeeves fact's

Most lilacs are deciduous flowering shrubs. The 'Wedgewood Blue' variety has a compact growth habit. But because of the height some varieties of lilac bushes attain at maturity, people sometimes refer to them as "lilac trees." They should not, however, be confused with the true "tree lilacs": Japanese tree lilacs (Syringa reticulata) and Chinese tree lilacs (Syringa pekinensis).

Yet more Leave rubbing below these I plan on glueing to a canvas.

Art to follow this is just a quick study.

Luminous Duckling (Yet more crochet ducklings)

Luminous Ducklings

Yes more ducks.........

This is a new version its a mini duck.

I figured if I want people to take them travelling,Geo tag Flickr project.

That being the Duck phase one
the Stockholm release as they where slightly large to be part of a capsule packer case!

Unless of cousre it's my suit case, that is always randomly packed with ducks dolls, yarns, needles hooks a few clothes/shoes.... never any thing helpful look wise, but knit/art I'm always happily stocked.

I never risk that I could just buy what I need where I'm going, Africa, America I packed my things(knitted related).

Of cousre I would like to buy local things but dare I run out of all things yarn related I would be extremely unhappy.
(God forbid no knit shop)

Water colour duck (paint shop)
Sitting on a river of knitted Denim.

Due for duck release I need to do a trail just to make sure that these little head heavy ducks float and don't end up face down like my original release.

Garden Crochet

Garden Art

From snow to summer, this is a little crochet that just got left to its own devices..........

So it snowed.

This was when I lay to crochet and hammer beads square on the lawn.

(The lawn that you can not see!, snow:-)

The snow eventually melted and the crochet sat.

Whist sitting.........

Then the grass quickly sprang into life,.......

It Took hold of the crochet and the garden sculpture (art)

Began to take place.

Dandelions

Green greens, bright yellow and a pillar box red. The sun shone and unfortunately the grass had to be cut. But this was good as destruction was on the cards!

My original plan was that the mower would chop up the crochet!

Art, oh yes

But Rich had other idea's, he didn't check first and he gracefully removed my garden art.

Placed it in the shed!Bless

I guess it was a fair enough reasoning and I do not usually destroy my knits/crochets.

Oh well.... always next year.
