Affordable Canvas

Affordable canvas in the shape of a broken picture frame, this time with the inspired stitches, I copied the natural stitch pattern from some spray painted stiffened crochet.

Roughly/never really neat

The back is hard board (I think) so pretty porous. With the stitches I originally tried to draw in pencil but the shiny side of the wood made this hard to see what I was actually doing.

So I used a marker pen as the mistakes can easily be fixed.

This was Inspired by the Black and White recent stitch work that I have done.

Next step

A coat of thin white acrylic paint I put a base coat/like a blank canvas but in my usual back to front status, I could have actually painted the wood 1st!. But no, I filled the gaps like a paint by number.

Then I began to add the magazine, pva and torn the only theme being that two the same where not aloud next to each other.

Having not done Collage in a while I was quiet excited about starting this project.

Abstract ? Basically it's a

Free hand crochet hook.

Made up the size for the stitches.

I have been a little busy with the free-form bags lately. My etsy shop is almost ready I just need to confirm the postage and countries shipped to part..........

This one was actually a gift /made for a friend in mind. But I have plenty spare for my shop.

Why Pie?

I think basically its my arty inner self telling my outer that we need canvas, Its been a while.

I guess I have not really been inspired!

Well that's a little lie, as I'm always inspired by everything big or small, happy or sad.

But stress can a a little bit of a crusher.

And deep down, my UK art may not be as good as my Stockholm inspired canvas!, go figure...........

So I guess subconsciously I'm sitting on the fence.

My pie is as good here as it was in Sverige so basically my canvas should be...........
