Pink Crochet Perfection.

Paint shop pro fun

I must apologise for all the photography messing..........

(It's fun)

But what I mean, in way of my apologising?

I'm a pretty natural person.
(Wash and go type)

And my favourite thing about photography

Is capturing that moment as nature meant!.

But saying that these stitches just come to life..........;-)

Paint, with out painting?

The cheat artist.

Shower Curtain Canvas, Crocheted Art

I made the canvas covering,

by cutting up a $1 store shower curtain.

The frame was recycled.

(old project)

I had a stock of curtains from my New York trip
I have used in things before but not a canvas

I like the print as it reminds me of flock wallpaper.

Currently reading the "Make do and Mend"

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Make-Do-Mend-Official-Reproductns/dp/1843172658/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1261414780&sr=1-1

Great little book, you just cannot believe how through away we have become.

(Older generations must be so mad!)

We really had /have no idea of managing, we just replace/update.

BUT

I really enjoy making do and mending.

Making my own

Vintage Nylon Stocking Crochet & Snow covered.

Crochet Vintage Nylon

Fix your stockings,

Or just simply crochet.

(Size 2 mm hook)

I liked the idea of stitching it back to the original package.

Its had a modern touch (me)

Back now its back to retro.

(And if needs must could always be reused)

Crochet just makes it look pretty but the thread can always easy be re-used.

Pom-pom in my garden/snow elements.
Closed project (Pom-pom in my garden)

Same place my patio, with a blanket of snow.

Think I prefer sun and a pot of Red bush tea;-)

But it's pretty all the same.

Knitted Rock under a snowy blanket.

Project Rock climb knitted Boulder.

My this years yarn bomb,

still standing/well of cousre the rock is still standing

Big success the knitting now has managed a few months.

Even Rasmus got snow covered capturing the snow shoot.

Knitted Wallpaper (new piece)

Project knitted Wallpaper gets a new piece.

Crochet/knit/Textile.

Rasmus who hadn't been for his walk!

was not impressed.....

With my time spent finishing the new piece.;-(

Shower curtain,

Tape,

Paper,

Yarn,

(A few of the materials used)

Raised eyes!!! and not at my creativity.

Walkie's........

Strike a pose.....

Trying to out do the art.

Vintage

Fix your nylons yarn,

Always on the look out for new things to knit or crochet,

I picked this up at the Twisted Thread, in a bargain bin.

I love the idea of fixing you stockings (Not that I where them)

But at the time when all women did,

what a cute little vintage kit.

Jumper, recycled canvas frame and a spray can.

A charity shop jumper cut to fit a frame.

(Boobly old and I frogged some of the yarn to reuse)

Charity shops can really be a help to the poor textile artist;-)

Affordable art.

I used some fabric snifter.

Two coats.

Silver spray

This sets the stitches.

Sculptured almost.

Up close

The spray sets the fibres thus the delicacy of the yarn shine through.

knitted Wallpaper

More wallpaper for my planned cover an entire wall in stitches.

I think that I have managed one quarter so far.

Its taken a while.

But worth it........

Knit this time and not any crochet. big needles make for fast work.

No Sew T shirt bag, compleated.

No sew Slayer bag completed.

original post with youtube.

http://theknittingforartexhibition.blogspot.com/2009/11/recycled-crochet-arty-rag-bag.html

(Scroll to bottom of original post.)

Completed the duck tape, completely surrounded.

Staple gun/yes the no sew part.

Above wrong/miss guessed you tube.

Corner /wrong 1st attempt not like this , but like below.

Below correct.

I had not cut away enough of the neck as the straps way to wide to fit in hands
(handles)

Cut a little more off.

And here we are,

It worked.......

Not sure how sturdy, but a great gift idea.

Trying to demonstrate and take a pic at the same time a little wobbly;-(

Not quite the piece of cake it was made out to be,

But I'm sure practice make perfect.

I think that I will defiantly try again.
