Art Post Trip

Here is some of My Textile Art that I completed late night before flying to my Uk trip.

I think that I was so excited about the Twisted Thread, anticipation of where my art would sit not having been to this type of exhibition since I stylised my work.

Got my self a signature, artistically.

New things new projects to be surrounded by creative artists.

I had to stop my self late night as I was on a creative roll.

There's more to follow!!!

These where the leaf print canvases to begin.

I had used crayon in the pink paint for texture and still a possibility to melt.

I had leaf printed.

http://theknittingforartexhibition.blogspot.com/2009/10/hungry-caterpillar-or-simply-organic.html

Hand stitched crochet to the canvas.

Stitched beads to the lighter on the two canvas.

And had hand embroidered, Red sewing thread around some of the knitted stitch shape.

I had used a piece of machine knit to get the imprint with the Gray paint.

Tissue paper leaves and a Jackson Pollack splash complement this detailed Textile Art well.

Crocheted Flowers and Knitted Art

Women/Feminine/Strong

Yet delicate at the same time.
(Make do mend!)

My knitted Apron with an emphasis that its is almost under wear, The only garment to be worn/ defeats the object of protection.

Purpose
.

Rubber Glove, for the down right dirty

Juxtapose

Suede lady at the race's glove.

Stockings.....
Seductive/yet cute.

Wellys and cutting the grass.

Prepare a fabulous meal with sex appeal like Nigella

Sex symbol/goddess......

to

Carrying your hurt child! weight lifter?

Yet dainty.

Breast Feeder/provider.

why do women have to be it all, all in different skins.

I mean wellys don't make a sex symbol
.
You could imagine Deta in the Hunter Wellingtons and Burlesque out fit?.
(I mean she would probably look good? you get my point)

Yet a man,
A man it's Jeans and a t shirt that's it.
Cooking/sex appeal.......gardener,
let me ask you, true?

Who are they every day? the same.

Because it's comfortable, for men.
That one uniform fit's all, it's what makes him, cute, rugged, handsome.
Yet Not the case for the female of the species.

Hormonal? I'll change the subject
From feisty feminism to Delicate Flowers.

My flowers made at the Twisted thread stall assisting, my time spent being productively. Still a work in progress, but I pretty pleased with my easy yet effective design. Flowers and how too?, where a big part of the Twisted Thread and Quirky's little stall, people who can?

People who can not!
That's the world we live in, Doer's.........

And then the talkers,

That don't actually do but try to convince you that they have made bigger and better.

There where plenty of these, at the exhibition (very funny)

Filling a Gap with Crocheted Wallpaper

Project Wallpaper Knit/Crochet

A New Square/block
.....well almost a square, maybe more a rectangle

Indecisive day, we all have them.

I'm pretty black and white (in opinion)

But today it all seems Gray;-)

A gap filled and the sun shone,

(for a second)

The weather darking by noon.

It's mostly Crochet the new square the yellow is the only knit.

Up close

A promise of better quality photo's with better lighting.

Hopefully (thumbs crossed) this week

Not as dark as today

These are not up top my usual standard;-(

I'm really enjoying the Wallpaper project

I feel that on completion,

the media and scale will make for some great photography.

Beading Trial and Error

Hammer beads and Cotton (Gray Rowan)

Size 12 hook.

The bottom is still to messy the beading is to cover a canvas frame,

I want the neatest of stitches/square and all in equal rows.

But It seems to be trail and error,

so far I have used acrylic the silky/neah!

Now the cotton/neah

Also I'm trying a regular acrylic..........W,I,P

Good for photography though.

Naughty dogs!!!

One of my work bins that sits in my front room, many project running at the same time, I get swamped so I stack stuff;-)

Rasmus whom is not aloud on the new sofa's(Rich rules)

Is indeed a rule breaker..........

I Leave the room........

I here a crash..........

I come in to the room, I ask Rasmus........

" Was that you?"

He shakes his head, of cousre not, but who else?

The "it wasn't me face!"

The evidence..........luckily he didn't eat any!

Ghost Crochet Flowers

Ghost Flowers 09

Ghostly Flowers that look as if they should be swaying in the wind.

The wall paper back ground is a real juxtaposition with the crochet.
as they sit still as if set in a frame,
but you can image the movement, its as if they should be blowing in the wind.

Pretty scary surreal,
Yet calm at the same time.

How to achieve this.
1)Take one old canvas.

2)Staple gun a piece of Pink wall paper.
3)Crochet some random flowers.
(Old stashed ends)

4)Then stitch them with sewing thread to the canvas.
5)Leaving the tales/ stems free.
6)photo shoot.

The Play in Paint shop pro/even more ghostly.

More sinister.

Free falling ends.
