Dartington(JT) with a little beading.

'Peacock'

It's hard to see but on the left side of this duo, I have attached some beading. It was a one off trail that has worked well, the beads really went with the peacock colour combination. As if I had brought them to match the painting and not actually had them in my bead collection (Waiting to be made into a necklace) for a long time. Update and recycle try somthing new.

Foreign Coffee

Added more white to lighten the large canvas in the 'Coffee Shop collection' and also titled it 'Foreign Coffee'. Origianlly there was Just to much black it made the over all image look very sad. (Dark)

Coffee

'Filter', 'Americarno' and 'Choc Mocha' thats it for the coffee shop phase. The colours work very well and I think will be very popular. I have sold the first two I made in this way 'Espresso' and 'Mocha'. They worked just as well as the 1st ones.

My knit and Crochet samples

Here are some of my textile samples. I make them to use as templates when making my paintings. The multi coloured is all the odds and ends of all the things I have knitted recently, thus making different textures. The bright pink, is present ribbion (A new texture for me to use) and the gold is knitted elastic.

Revamp

This is an old 2006 work revamped, it's funny you never quite finish a canvas. Some peices you can just see that they need just that bit more.

Always best to step away, have a break instead of over doing it. Add eventually.(Dont rush it!)

This being "Indian Sunset" I added black and it's made the picture. Its tiger like! so even more fitting to it's title.

If it works its a plus! and if not, start again..........:-)

Beading

I made these using some canavs I brought cheaply in one of those kits that the picture is on the canvas and you paint it in.

Well of course I did'nt need that but thought that it would just paint over, but I was wrong it came through in parts.

So I decided to sew beads on the lines that could rougthly be seen.

More textile art than ever now, so this is my tester and it has opened my eyes to yet something new to add to my art work.

Watch this space.

Coffee shop

This is taken from my latest collection the theme being a coffee shop, some thing I visit way to much. The naming part was easy as I drink plenty of different coffee's.

The colours are black, beige, white, Choc brown and metalic gold.

Not sure if its a combination that I like, but it is definatly a popular colour scheme for todays decors.

large flat canvas at 72 by 92cm.
